Happy Birthday Black Panther!

Gyula Grosics has 88th birthday on 4th February. You may be aware that he was the goalkeeper of the famous Hungarian Golden Team, and he is Olympic Gold Medalist and also Silver Medalist in World Championship as well as ideal of Gabor Kiraly

Gyula Grosics born in Dorog, played for Dorog, Mateosz, BP Honvéd, Tatabánya, all together 390 professional matches. He represented National Hungarian Football team 86 times and he participated in 3 Word Cups. He won Silver Medal in 1954 World Championship and Gold Medal in Olympics. He was 3 times National Champion with Club Honvéd. He was known as Black Panther during his career.

He was voted the best Hungarian Goalkeeper of 20th century and he is a member of the Immortal Club since 1994. He received the award of the National Sportsman in 2011. One primary school in Budapest bears his name since November 2008.

Gyula Grosics is the ideal of Kiraly Gabor. They have been in good friends for a long period.
